Adobo Ginger Beef Rice Bowl

A bowl format for adobo flavors where ginger and cucumber keep the beef bright and balanced.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb beef sirloin, sliced thin
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 4 cups cooked rice
- 1 cucumber, sliced
Preparation
- Quick-pickle cucumber with vinegar, sugar, and salt.
- Sear beef in oil; add garlic and ginger.
- Add soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar; simmer 3 to 4 minutes.
- Taste and adjust salt.
Assembly
- Spoon rice into bowls.
- Top with adobo ginger beef and pickled cucumber.
Serving Suggestions
- Finish with scallion.
- Add chili oil if desired.

- Ground beef can substitute for sliced beef.
